nautilus

It was almost morning and I thought of experimenting some more. Amor agreed to pose again, this time with our friend the geek around to assist us. He was noisy and was taking some shots of us while I was shooting. I couldn't resist the urge to just shoot him down with an M16 to silence him--!--crazy guy.

After around 20 minutes, my arms were numb. The tripod wasn't working well that night and I had no time to fix it. It would be anticlimactic at that time to be fixing stuff while the model was already posing. It was also my first time to shoot with the new 100 mm lens, which was very heavy without the tripod. The weight was fast becoming a discomfort.

It went on for 10 minutes more. Inside the airconditioned room I was softly perspiring, beads of sweat creeping through my neck as I set about my work. I heard trance and then some new age in the background. Klaver, the Cardinals, Enya, etc. The model was silent through all these---perhaps contemplating, I wouldn't know.

20 minutes after and my body was slowing down mercilessly. The camera could go on and on til late morning, but I was getting very hungry. I decided to pack up after a few more shots. We went to a 24/7 restaurant after and ate. I went home and had a stick before sleeping.

I am loving this.

Trisha

I can only demonstrate, but I cannot quantify the pain, nor tell you exactly how much hurt I felt that day, how much I bled. And how hard I'm bleeding still...I feel something terrible inside, gnawing at me like a curse, a cancer of some sort--

You will feel it someday, my dear, someone will tear you to pieces. And when it happens, I hope you bleed like hell.

::burn_mem is a real person and a close friend of mine. The name Trisha is not real, though the person behind the name exists.

::to joan, thanks for the help.

Ice,

Which one of these exactly hurt the most?

::Alright, if this is poorly implemented, you can all go ahead and take the blame on me. The concept came too quick while holding the apple, and I thought--why not, I could really just experiment. I'm not sure if it turned out well though, so maybe Ice can tell?

Please don't comment if you hate me. :( I admit the apple series is oh so depressing, but it's not my intention to ruin your day today. So...smile, people!!!

::I looked at her for a long time, she and her young, sad eyes, and I couldn't help but remember what I've been seeing on TV the past weks. The rallies in EDSA, the closure of some media facilities, the proclamation for state of emergency--this whole political telenovela happening in the country right now. Those are merely backdrop to the bigger reality that she and most kids here must have to face every day. Poverty.

I do not know who among those on TV is going to do something. Administration, opposition--they are all the same.
